Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Our Commitment
- As a public interest association incorporated in Japan, the GHIT Fund proudly commits to diversity,
equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles and practices in accordance with Japan’s Equal Employment
Opportunity Law and recognizes and supports the international declarations, global goals, including
Sustainable Development Goal No.5 to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls, and
programs of the United Nations and World Health Organization in support of DEI.
“The more diverse a team is, the greater the ideas generated, and the better the outcomes for all. It’s also important to highlight pathways toward senior management roles for young women. But it’s not only about women… we definitely need to engage men so that they understand and empower women—in R&D and beyond.” – Catherine Ohura, CEO, GHIT Fund (see recent interview *Japanese only).
