GHIT conducted a media briefing on the Ebola epidemic inviting Professor Peter Piot, GHIT's board member (Director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and former Executive Director of UNAIDS and Under Secretary-General of the United Nations) in Tokyo on October 30th. Dr. Kurokawa, GHIT Fund Board Chair and Dr. Slingsby, GHIT Fund CEO joined panel session with Prof. Piot and disucssed the current challenges and efforts of containment in west africa, international quarantine, health system strengthening and drug/vaccine development.
