We have published an interview video with Dr. Jacob Creswell, Head of Innovations and Grants, Stop TB Partnership. In the interview, Dr. Creswell discusses the importance of partnerships to end tuberculosis, highlighting the need to expand access to diagnostics and treatments, as well as outreach activities for socially marginalized populations. He points out that one in four people with tuberculosis (TB) worldwide is not receiving diagnosis or treatment, emphasizing the challenges of medical access and the necessity of introducing new tools.

Dr. Creswell also showcases a promising and improved urine-based rapid test to diagnose TB that is being developed through a new collaborative project with the GHIT Fund. This technology, which can be used for individuals who have HIV and difficulty providing sputum samples, has the potential to enable earlier detection and treatment for more people with TB. He expressed high expectations for future developments through collaboration with Japanese stakeholders.
