We have published an interview video with Dr. Ashley Birkett, Global Head of Bacterial & Parasitic Diseases at PATH, who participated as a speaker at the GHIT R&D Forum 2024 held in December 2024.

In the video, Dr. Birkett shares how PATH, as an international nonprofit organization, has been committed to implementing global health activities rooted in low- and middle-income country needs for over 40 years. Dr. Birkett also discusses how PATH’s multinational staff work closely with communities, engaging in various fields such as strengthening health systems and addressing neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

In addition, the interview highlights PATH’s more than ten years of collaboration with the GHIT Fund on various product candidates, as well as a current malaria monoclonal development project in partnership with Ehime University, Eisai, and GSK, and shares prospects for future clinical trials. Dr. Birkett further delivers a message to Japanese partners and funders, emphasizing the importance of effective partnerships, diverse funding sources, and long-term commitment.
