“Ongoing pandemic (tuberculosis) response and future pandemic preparedness – How to make synergy.”
The 2023 UN High-Level Meeting will take place on September 20 agenda as they recommit to ending tuberculosis (TB), delivering universal health coverage (UHC) and strengthening pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response.
Aligned with this UN General Assembly, the Global Health Innovative Technology Fund (GHIT Fund), in collaboration with Nikkei Inc., Government of Japan and Stop TB Partnership will hold a side event titled “Ongoing Pandemic (tuberculosis) response and future pandemic preparedness - How to make synergy” in New York, USA, on September 22.
Join us for a lively discussion on how Japan can contribute to the fight against communicable diseases in the post-COVID world.
Bringing together representatives from international organizations, government officials, the private sector and civil society, this event will highlight how we can tackle future pandemic by looking into the synergies we can expect from the current pandemic (tuberculosis) response.
The discussion here will be taken back to the 10th Nikkei FT Communicable Diseases Conference, to be held in Tokyo on 16-18 October 2023, to develop and translate into concrete action plans.
Participation will be onsite in New York only. (No online sessions will be held.)
