This is to announce several changes in the membership and leadership of our Selection Committee.

Due to the completion of the term of service of Dr. Ann Mills-Duggan, who has served as Chair of the Selection Committee since 2022, Dr. Philip Jordan and Dr. Hiroo Koyama, both of whom are currently members of the Selection Committee, have been appointed as the new Co-Chairs of the Committee. Dr. Duggan will continue to serve as a member of the Selection Committee.

In addition, Dr. Ken Duncan, who has served as a member of the Selection Committee for 13 years since inception of the GHIT Fund, has stepped down and Dr. Chris Karp has been appointed as a new member of the Selection Committee. Dr. Chris Karp, an expert in immunology and pediatric diseases, leads the Global Health Discovery & Translational Sciences team at the Gates Foundation.

The Selection Committee evaluates investment proposals and reports from development partners and makes investment recommendations to the Board of Directors.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Duncan for his outstanding contributions to the Committee’s work. We are confident that, under the leadership of the two new Co-Chairs and with the appointment of Dr. Karp as a member, the GHIT Fund’s project portfolio will continue to move forward.
