GHIT Fund interviewed Dr. Abhay Satoskar of the Ohio State University, who is involved in research on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). We asked about “Contributions of GHIT Fund - Exchanges with Japanese Researchers”.

“It’s important to conceptualize and create a product in the lab, but the biggest challenge in product development is to move on to the next stage—99% of projects end at that barrier, and that’s where we need to start. All you need for the 1% to move forward is an industrial partner and, more importantly, funding to turn it into a product”, says Prof. Satoskar.
