GHIT Fund to Participate in TICAD 9
The GHIT Fund is pleased to announce its participation in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), taking place August 20-22, 2025 in Yokohama, Japan.
TICAD 9 brings together the Government of Japan, African leaders, and development partners to advance their shared commitment to development goals, including those related to health. The event provides a crucial platform to reflect on Japan’s global health leadership and strategic partnerships and explore the future of health technology innovation and equity across Africa.
As part of TICAD 9, the GHIT Fund will host a dedicated side event in collaboration with UNDP, examining how to strengthen innovation and access to solutions that support health equity, pandemic prevention, preparedness and response, and universal health coverage within the context of an evolving global health and innovation ecosystem.
Additionally, GHIT will serve as co-host or featured speaker in six other side events throughout the conference, contributing expertise on global health partnerships and innovation strategies.
During the conference, we will also set up an exhibition booth to showcase the activities of the GHIT Fund, which will also serve as a space for communication and engagement.
Through our active participation in TICAD 9, the GHIT Fund continues its mission to foster transformative partnerships and drive innovation in global health. We invite stakeholders, partners, and health leaders to join us in these important discussions as we work together to build a healthier, more equitable future for Africa and beyond.
