Monitoring and Evaluation

GHIT has established a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) process that requires partners to submit semi-annual progress reports, coupled with regular, focused conference calls for each GHIT-funded project. This is done within each of four investment platforms, from discovery to product registration, regardless of whether the technology is a drug, vaccine, or diagnostic. We track the progress of investments with two metrics commonly used in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries: first, with milestones, which track key steps throughout the entire R&D process, and second, with Stage-Gates, which serve as critical decision points for continued investment.
