GHIT Fund RFP Target Research Platform 2025-001
The GHIT Fund announces the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Target Research Platform (TRP). The TRP platform is intentionally broad in potential scope and targets new technologies and novel approaches (Standard TRP Award), landscaping and market assessment (Strategic Innovation and Market Assessment Award) and bridging activities for current/previously funded GHIT Fund Projects (R&D Accelerator Award).
Proposals must be within the project scope and investment eligibility below in order to be considered. The TRP is currently focused on technologies and approaches that address unmet or priority needs within malaria, tuberculosis, Neglected Tropical Diseases and disease with pandemic potential listed in the GHIT Intent to Apply form.
Proposed projects should primarily originate from or materially involve Japanese science and technology and partnerships will need to be between eligible Japanese and non-Japanese organizations.

GHIT Fund RFP Target Research Platform in Partnership with Grand Challenges 2016-002
The GHIT Fund announces an investment opportunity for the Target Research Platform in Partnership with Grand Challenges (TRP).
The TRP investments are intentionally broad in potential scope and focus on new technologies and novel approaches. Proposals should be innovative in nature and focused on early-stage discovery and technologies and approaches that address unmet or priority needs within Buruli ulcer, Chagas disease, Crystosporidium, leishmaniasis, lymphatic filariasis, malaria, mycetoma (non pathogen-specific solution), schistosomiasis, and tuberculosis.
Proposed projects should be primarily originated from and be led by Japanese organizations and partnerships will need to be between eligible Japanese and non-Japanese organizations.

The GHIT Fund endeavors to facilitate collaboration and funding of global health technology R&D, to build momentum, and to demonstrate action and results. The Target Research Platform in Partnership with Grand Challenges (TRP) is one of three platforms within the GHIT Fund’s Discovery Investment focus area and is the GHIT Fund’s newest platform.
These investments are intentionally broad in potential scope and focus on new technologies and novel approaches. The TRP is currently focused on technologies and approaches that address unmet or priority needs within malaria, tuberculosis, Chagas disease, and leishmaniasis.
