Uniting Efforts published a new report entitled "Landscape of funding and financing opportunities for access and delivery of health technologies for neglected diseases"

Uniting Efforts for Innovation, Access & Delivery (Uniting Efforts), published a new report entitled "Landscape of funding and financing opportunities for access and delivery of health technologies for neglected diseases". This report provides an overview of existing strategies and needs to fund and finance access and delivery of health technologies for malaria, tuberculosis, and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), opportunities to augment funding, and proposals to improve the efficiency of investments.

Uniting Efforts launched in January 2019 aiming at bringing together and facilitating global dialogue and engagement among funders, innovators, product development partnerships, governments, international organizations, and other access and delivery stakeholders in the field of tuberculosis, malaria and NTDs. The platform has been led by three core partners: the Government of Japan, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)-led Access and Delivery Partnership (ADP) and the Global Health Innovative Technology (GHIT) Fund. While GHIT’s investments focus exclusively on R&D, facilitating critical access and delivery-focused dialogue and partnerships plays an important role in setting up invested innovations for success.

Since January 2019, Uniting Efforts convened several global dialogues and technical expert meetings to identify challenges and opportunities in the field of access and delivery and this report launches the first of, hopefully, more outputs of those meetings. We hope different stakeholders can draw on these knowledge products as they make their strategies to tackle neglected diseases.
